August Moon 05:53
In the beginning there was infinite time and infinite space The earth was without form and void And the darkness was upon the face of the deep The spirit of God was moving over the water's face And heavenly bodies they were flung into the sea The day and the night and the light and the firmament They all fell in lines The lands appeared and the water gathered together Keeping the rhyme and time A world without pain Celestial beings dancing in the rain Illuminate the haunting mystery The majesty and the darkness bow on bended knee To the August moon I used to think that I know The way it all eventually should go But now I find that tightly woven dreams They tend to unwind Deliberate the choices we make The chances we didn’t take On a midnight walk I raise my palms to you Give me an answer soon A world without pain Celestial beings dancing in the rain Illuminate the haunting mystery The majesty and the darkness bow on bended knee To the August moon

I, I couldn't see you When my height was way too low I, I couldn't feel you When my heart didn't have a soul Did you see me when I was crying Did you see me when I was looking, oh looking for you Down the country road where leaves were dancing The boy was waiting for the coming With one hand on his heart and the other to hold his fears The tears flow where no one can see There's a fire in a misplaced fireplace How am I supposed to know? Let me tell you about my secrets, how can we keep the faith? And how am I supposed to know that I know? Did you see me when I was crying Is that why your song came through to me Down the country road where leaves were dancing The boy was waiting for the coming With one hand on his heart and the other to hold his fears The tears flow where no one can see Down the country road where leaves were dancing I was waiting for your coming With one hand on my heart, and the other to hold my fears Down the country road where leaves were dancing I was waiting for your coming, your coming home With one hand on my heart and the other to hold my fears Oh I'm so glad to find me in you

Ice Burns 03:34
Looking at my ice burns Try hard to feel the pain A black dot on a thousand screens So white and plain And pale and so weightless Am I? Locked away from the boundless sky I long to feel And I hurt to breathe Once more Shallow and so dry My stream’s slow death Call me and let me hear me cry Like a new-born’s breath Like a beam through a cloud Am I so afraid? Locked away from the boundless sky I long to feel And I hurt to be With you la...

Dark Room 04:16
I see you in the dark room, painting your own mirror I see me in the dim light in the world of no errors Sometimes you feel the need Come talk to me Come talk to me Talk to the shadow over me I see you in the water, wondering why you can’t walk on it All alone in the dark room, you can’t see when you see it All my nights, all my love, all my drowning seeds Come talk to me Come talk to me Talk to the shadow over me And I will never be the same And I will never be the same I see you with the flowers – you touch, but no feel I see me in the dark room on the way to the seal Then you run, you run from me Come talk to me Come talk to me Talk to the shadow over me

Solar Ascent 03:20
Cameroon No way to freeze frame your cartoon Too many lines clatter the tune I’ve forgotten how your arms keep me warm In your endless dune Kangaroo Blow up then polish your kazoo I’m way out of line from your tattoo Please show me how to slow me down From this fake rescue Miscue You look it up online and believe I took away the hands to receive Bamboo I wish you never withdrew You’re not alone to want to undo But when you find your last glue melt away I’ll still be with you

about

World of No Errors is a collection of folk rock songs, tracked in a faux-unplugged-live-in-studio style. The recording was intentionally created with simple arrangements to assemble these songs in a raw, minimally-processed manner, so that we can quickly produce and release these songs.

The songs are old material from the guitarist Ari Koinuma's catalog, chosen for their simplicity and honesty. They were to serve as vehicles for developing our production chops before we tackle our more ambitious material.

Lyrically they are naive and tender, sometimes dreamy and longing. They showcase our folky and sensitive roots, and should appeal to fans of Toad the Wet Sprocket, Death Cab for Cutie, and Jars of Clay.
